The Peninsula Conference Nikiski Bulldog basketball teams hosted the Eastern Conference Houston Hawks for the Bulldogs final non-conference games of the regular season. The Bulldogs host Grace Christian in Peninsula Conference basketball on Saturday at Nikiski High School.
Houston Boys 86 – Nikiski Boys 42
The Houston Hawk boys, #1 in the Eastern Conference, rolled-over the Nikiski Bulldogs 86-42 in non-conference basketball on Thursday at Nikiski. Drew Handley led Nikiski with 17 points and David Weathers added 15 points including five 3-pointers.
Nikiski Girls 49 – Houston Girls 60
The Nikiski girls battled to a halftime lead on Thursday against the Houston Hawks; however, Houston pulled-away in the third quarter; the Hawks winning 60-49 in non-conference basketball.
Shelby Burnam topped the Bulldogs with 13 points and Ashlynn Playle added 9 points.
