UPDATE – 1/18 – The Kenai Police Department has positively identified the individual who was found deceased in vehicle fire that was reported at Beaver Creek Park in Kenai the afternoon of Friday, January 7th.
Both Kenai Police and the Kenai Fire Departments responded to the vehicle fire report at 12:37 p.m. that day with fire personnel extinguishing the fully engulfed car fire upon their arrival, according to the original press release.
A deceased individual was found inside the burned vehicle. Kenai Police, who has worked closely with the family and the Alaska State Medical Examiner’s Office, identified 37-year-old Daniel Dobson as the individual who died.
An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
ORIGINAL – A vehicle fire was reported at Beaver Creek Park in Kenai on Friday, January 7th at 12:37 p.m.
The Kenai Fire Department and the Kenai Police Department responded to the fire with fire personnel extinguishing the fully engulfed car fire upon their arrival, according to a press release.
There was an individual inside the vehicle that has not yet been identified, and that individual is deceased.
