Soldotna Police Chief Peter Mlynarik…
Chief Mlynarik: “About 5:38 pm, we got the report of a collision between a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a road grader. Investigation revealed that Nicholas D. Tuttle, 25 of Kenai, collided with the grader and he was arrested for a DUI and refusal to submit a chemical test.”
Chief Mlynarik did not know if the grader belonged to the City of Soldotna or the state Department of Transportation. The DOT stated they did not have any graders out in the area last night.
Central Emergency Services and Alaska State Troopers also responded to the single-vehicle accident near East Corral Avenue and the Kenai Spur Highway.
