Joe Floyd Christmas Tournament

The Joe Floyd Christmas Tournament features a three-day, bracketed tournament with teams from Nikiski, SoHi, North Pole, Bethel and the host Kodiak Bears.

 

Wednesday Tournament Results

SoHi Girls 42 – Bethel 31  SoHi advances to the girls championship game at 6 p.m. against North Pole.  Katelynn Morrison lead the Stars with 12 points and Tanner Inman added 8 points for the Stars.

Nikiski Girls 30 – Kodiak 42

SoHi Boys 67 – Nikiski Boys  44  SoHi advances to 8 p.m. championship game

Girls Championship: North Pole Girls 39 -SoHi Girls 27

Boys Championship: Kodiak 42 – SoHi 36

Girls MVP: North Pole’s Alicia Guzman  All-tournament team: Tanner Inman of Soldotna, Rhys Cannava of Soldotna, Kinlee Jeffreys of Nikiski, Bryn Garrison of Bethel, Tiahna Guzman of North Pole, Ava Lieb of Bethel and Arie Arevalo of Kodiak.

Boys MVP : Kodiak’s Jackson Krug   All-tournament team: Ethan Sewell of Soldotna, Brock Wilson of Soldotna, Brady Bostic of Nikiski, Peter Crow of Bethel, Frankie Marcelo of Kodiak, Joseph Campbell of North Pole and Shawn Case of Kodiak.

 

Tuesday Tournament Game Schedule & Results  (updated as games are completed)

Bethel girls 45 – Kodiak girls 26

SoHi Boys 75 -Bethel Boys 46  Ethan Sewell scored 20 and Jakob Brown added 11 points for the Stars.  SoHi plays North Pole in the 4 p.m. game Tuesday.

Nikiski Girls 25 – Bethel 50   Nikiski girls will play Kodiak at 2 p.m. on Wednesday

SoHi Boys 75 – North Pole Boys 47    Ethan Sewell scored 17 points and Andrew Pieh added 16 for the Stars. SoHi advances to the 4 p.m. game on Wednesday (time change).

SoHi Girls 27 – North Pole Girls 30  SoHi plays Bethel at 9 a.m. for a chance to go to the championship game on Wednesday night at 6 p.m.

Kodiak Boys 64 –  Nikiski Boys 36  Nikiski Boys play SoHi at 4 p.m. Wednesday with the winner advancing to play Kodiak in the boys championship game at 8 p.m.
