The Kenai and Soldotna joint luncheon will host Rep. Kurt Olson, Speaker Mike Chenault, and Sen. Peter Micciche to address the recent legislative session.
We spoke to Speaker Chenault about his feelings on the session.
Rep. Chenault: “I think we moved education forward, we certainly moved the natural gas pipeline project forward to the next stage and we’ll revisit that next year to determine how its working and are we on the right path to a natural gas pipeline. There was other legislation, I actually passed two bills that got rid of a statute so it’s kind of disheartening to say hey lets get bills off the books that don’t work any more but in order to do that you gotta pass another peice of legislation to get rid of the ones that aren’t working.”
The luncheon will be at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex at noon on Tuesday.
