If Kenai Peninsula Borough residents would like to know more about the ballot propositions they will be voting on October 7, tomorrow’s chamber luncheon will help.
January Yeager with the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce said assembly members Bill Smith and Brent Johnson will be there to answer questions about the 2 ballot propositions.
Yeager: “Proposition A “Shall the borough exercise and fund limited animal control powers for the domestic animal rescue for the areas of the borough and outside the city” So its not animal control its more of a rescue type of thing, within the borough if there is abuse or something like that going on. So thats going to be Proposition A, and then Proposition B is voting by mail, so there going to be asking should the kenai peninsula borough conduct borough elections by mail.”
The luncheon will also see winners called for a variety of drawings.
Yeager: “We’re going to be drawing for the KPTMC stay and play truck raffle, so all of the prices for that raffle will be drawn tomorrow including the winner of the Dodge Ram truck.”
This is a Soldotna and Kenai joint luncheon and those who would like to eat needs to RSVP by 5 pm this evening at either 283-1991 or 262-9814. Anyone who would like to come just to listen but not eat is welcome without an RSVP.
