A Nikolaevsk man is wanted after running from Troopers last Thursday.
Derek Jokay was driving a white Dodge van with a taxi light on the roof, driving towards Troopers. The officers recognized Jokay from previous encounters and a check in their system revealed he was driving in violation of IID device regulations.
As they attempted to stop the van, Jokay exited the vehicle and ran into the woods.
Troopers were unable to locate Jokay and petitioned the Homer court for a warrant for his arrest. The court granted the warrant and the investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call Peninsula CrimeStoppers at 1-800-478-HALT.
