The 2020 parade celebrating Independence Day, along with associated festivities, has been cancelled in the city of Kenai.  The announcement was made in an e-mail from the Kenai Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Staff, in conjunction with the City of Kenai.

The decision was made based on the continued uncertainty regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the recent spike in cases throughout the Kenai Peninsula and the state of Alaska.

The e-mail also notes that plans are moving forward for a successful July 4th celebration, as normal, in 2021.

For any questions or concerns, residents are advised to call the Kenai Visitor’s Center at (907) 283-1991.
