Kenai Peninsula Schools’ students are scheduled for an early release today and have no school Thursday of Friday.
Pegge Erkeneff with the School District said after Wednesday there will be just two more early release days scheduled.
Erkeneff: “And those are days when students actually have a shorter day by 90 minutes but teachers maximize the school day and work on collaborating and improving teacher’s teaching skills and work with one another in order to provide a better educational experience for our students.”
Students will get out of school an hour and a half early today, bus schedules have been adjusted.
Due to parent teacher conferences there is no school February 5 or 6 this week.
The two remaining early release days are Friday, March 27, and Friday, May 1.
