New signals, resurfacing, and intersection improvements are all planned for K-Beach Road from the Sterling Highway intersection in Soldotna to the Bridge Access Road Intersection.

McCarthy: “We’re going to actually put a new signal in at Gaswell and make improvements to the Poppy Lane Intersection.”
The Poppy Lane and Bridge Access intersection traffic signals will get upgrades that will include flashing yellow arrows for turning.
A new traffic signal will also be installed at the Ciechanski Road and K-Beach intersection to make it safer to turn.
McCarthy says the project is in the final phases of design, will be put out for bid this spring, and construction is scheduled to begin this summer.
