The Kenai Kardinals scored on four-straight possessions in the first half enroute to a 48-0 shutout of the Kodiak Bears in high school football’s week five of the regular season at KCHS on Saturday.

Division III Kenai improves to 3-2 on the football season with a 48-0 victory over Division II Kodiak.
The Kardinals opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run by Reagan Graves. Kenai’s next possession resulted in a 76-yard touchdown run by Graves for a 14-0 Kardinal lead. Kenai followed with a pair of touchdown passes from Bridger Beck to Wade James; the first a 41-yard reception and the second a 10-yard reception. Kenai lead 27-0 at the half .
Three rushing touchdowns in the second half included a 20-yard touchdown by Owen Wicker; a 50-yard run by Graves; and a final 7-yard touchdown for Rey Perez. Kenai’s defense recorded three interceptions and a fumble recovery in the shutout. Final Score: Kenai 48, Kodiak 0
Kenai travels to Redington High School to face the Huskies on Friday, September 16th in Mid-Alaska Conference play.
