The Kenai Kardinal girls basketball team, after three near misses, record a victory in the Kodiak gym on Friday in a Northern Lights Conference game against the Kodiak Bears.
The Kardinal girls held-off the Bears 34-29 building a lead in the third period and holding off every charge by the Bears. Kenai lead 17-16 at the half and 28-25 after three quarters.
Brooke Satathite and Jaycie Calvert were named to the Joe Floyd Tournament All Tournament Team for their play in the Kardinals three tournament games.
