A week of conference games in Northern Lights Conference soccer opened with the Kenai soccer teams recording shut outs of Nikiski on the grass turf at Nikiski High School on Monday.
Kenai Girls 2 – Nikiski 0
The Kardinal girls behind another shutout in goal for Alli Steinbeck downed Nikiski 2-0. Kardinal goals were scored by Cori Holmes and Hayley Maw. Brianna Vollertsen recorded 29 saves for the Bulldogs.
Kenai 6 – Nikiski 0
A pair of goals by Braydon Goodman and single goals for Max Dye, Chris Hamilton, Zack Tuttle and Luke Beiser carried the Kardinal boys to a 6-0 victory over Nikiski.
