Kardinals Soccer Shuts-out Mariners

The Kenai Kardinals soccer teams opened their regular season at home on Wednesday recording a pair of shutout victories over the Homer Mariners.

The Kenai boys held down the Mariners 4-0 for a Northern Lights Conference win.  Kardinal goals were scored by Zack Tuttle, Damien Redder, Luke Beiser and Max Dye.  Tuttle opened the scoring just three minutes into the game. Tristan Landry recorded the shutout in goal for the Kenai boys.

The Kardinal girls broke a 0-0 halftime tie with three second half goals for a 3-0 NLC victory over the Mariners.  Hannah Drury, Lara Creighton and Cori Holmes scored for Kenai; as Allie Steinbeck held Homer scoreless in goal for the Kenai girls.

Soccer: Kenai vs Eagle River @ KCHS  4 & 6 p.m.

Soccer: SoHi @ East  4 & 6 p.m. in Anchorage
