The Kenai Kardinal soccer teams hosted Nikiski on the turf at KCHS on Wednesday and the Kenai girls and boys both recorded shutouts in non-conference soccer pairings.
Kenai Girls 3 – Nikiski 0
The Kenai girls scored three, unanswered goals in a 3-0 victory over the Bulldogs. Kardinal goals were scored by Olivia Brewer, Cassi Holmes and Paulyne Catacutan. Kailey Hamilton recorded a shutout in goal for Kenai.
Kenai Boys 9 – Nikiski 0
Nine goals in the home field opener for the Kenai boys equaled a 9-0 shutout of the Nikiski Bulldogs. Kardinal goals were scored by Damien Redder, Kevin Ramos, Zack Tuttle, Luke Beiser, Avery Hieber, Chase Gillies, Rykker Riddall, Travis Verkuilen and Nate Beiser. Tristan Landry and Kaden McKibben shared the victory in goal for the Kardinals.
