The Kenai Kardinal volleyball team traveled to Nikiski on Tuesday for a showdown between a pair of Southcentral Conference, two teams which advanced to runner-up (Kenai) and third place (Nikiski) finishes at the 2019 ASAA State Volleyball Championships.

The Kardinal girls continue their undefeated run through the dual match, regular season with a 25-19, 25-10 and 25-16 three-game sweep of the Bulldogs.

Bethany Morris lead Kenai with ten kills and Kaylee Lauritsen recorded 24 assists.  For the Bulldogs, Lillian Carstens recorded six kills and Emma Lakin had eight digs and five assists.

Next on the Kardinal volleyball schedule, Kenai is scheduled to travel to Seward to face the Seahawks.  Seward cancelled all activities last weekend due to covid restrictions–continue to check the schedule for updates.
