A record-setting night for Kenai’s Emma Beck against the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves; however, a pair of losses on the night for the Kenai Kardinals against Eastern Conference Mt. Edgecumbe.
Mt. Edgecumbe Girls 79 – Kenai Girls 65
In a battle between 3A conferences, the Peninsula Conference Kenai girls fell to the Eastern Conference Braves 79-65; the Kardinals setting a season-high in team scoring with 65 points and junior Emma Beck setting a career-high of 45 points. The Kardinals trailed 40-28 at the half; Beck with 21 first half points.
Mt. Edgecumbe Boys 63 – Kenai Boys 50
The Kenai boys pushed the Braves throughout with Kenai leading 30-26 at the half. The Braves built a small lead by the end of the third quarter at 44-38 and finished strong for the 63-50 victory. Jakob Kvasnikoff scored 18 points for the Kards and Bridger Beck added 13.
