The Kardinal volleyball team rallied to win each of the first two sets and finished strong in the fourth for a 3-1 match victory over the SoHi Stars at Soldotna High School on Thursday night in non-divisional volleyball.
Game Recap: Kenai 3 – SoHi 1
The Karidnals recorded a 3-1 match victory over SoHi with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 21-25 and 25-12.
The Kardinals pulled away in game one against SoHi after the Stars had built a 20-16 lead. Kenai scored nine-straight points following a Kardinal time out for a 25-20 win.
In game two, The Karidnals and Stars were tied 19-19 and Kenai held-off SoHi for a 25-22 win. Game three was also close at 9-8 when the Stars mounted a quick rally to build a 14-9 lead enroute to a 25-21 SoHi win.
Kenai closed the match with a 25-12, game four victory.
Kenai was lead by Erin Koziczkowski with 11 kills, and Emma Beck with six kills and six blocks. Chloe Armstrong led Soldotna with eight kills and Emma Brantley had 15 assists.
