With borough schools limited to competition within the Kenai Peninsula, cross country running teams traveled to Seward on Friday for the Frank D. Invitational, the final invitational before the KPBSD Borough Championships.

Kenai’s Jayna Boonstra recorded a first place time of 20:22, followed by Soldotna’s Erika Arthur at 20:44 and SoHi’s Jordan Strausbaugh, third at 21:42.
The boys varsity race was won by Seward’s Max Pfeiffenberger with a time of 17:41, followed by Kenai’s Joe Hamilton in 17:50 and Kenai’s Gregory Fallon in 17:51.
