Designed as an opportunity for all high school skiers on the peninsula to have a final competition before the state championships, the Kenai Peninsula Borough Nordic Ski Championships were contested on the Tsalteshi Trails on Saturday.
The Kenai Kardinals dominated the individual and team results with Kenai skiers earning the top three positions in the boys competition and the top two places in the girls competition.
Kenai’s Jayna Boonstra topped the field in the girls 5K with a time of 15:08. Kenai’s Greg Fallon bested the boys field with a 5K time of 13:03.
