The 2019 Lady Grizzly Volleyball Tournament hosted by Grace Christian School features two days of competition with pool play on Friday, October 11th and bracket play on Saturday, October 12th. The tournament includes Kenai, Nikiksi and SoHi paired against teams from throughout Alaska, including teams from three classifications (2A, 3A, and 4A).
Tournament Format: Pool Play & Bracket
Pool Play, Pool A and Pool B, matches will be played on Friday. These matches will be one set to 25 points (win by 2) with a 25-minute time limit. Saturday will include three brackets: Platinum, Gold and Silver. Bracket play is double elimination, playing 2 out of 3 sets to 20 points.
Friday Pool Play
The Kenai Kardinals, playing in Pool A, open with a 10:40 a.m. game against Valdez. Kenai plays SoHi at 1 p.m. in pool play. A total of nine pool play games will determine bracket assignment for Saturday.
Nikiski, playing in Pool B, opens with Palmer at 11:50 a.m. Nikiski also plays nine contests in pool play.
The Soldotna Stars, in Pool A, open against Bartlett at 10:05 a.m. SoHi will also play nine pool play games to determine bracket seeding for Saturday.
