Six teams chased the snow to the Mat-Su Valley for the Colony Invitational Cross Country Ski Meet held Friday and Saturday at Government Peak.
The Kenai girls and boys teams each won the team titles over SoHi, Palmer , Colony, Grace, and Homer.
In the girls competition, Soldotna’s Sadie Fox topped all skiers with a combined 30:47 in the 5K Classic and 5K freestyle events. Kenai’s Addison Gibson finished second in the two-day, combined scoring; SoHi’s Hannah Potash was third.
For the boys, Kenai’s Travis Cooper finished second in combined time, the boys racing a 5K classic on Friday and a 7.5K freestyle on Saturday. SoHi’s John-Mark Pothast finished in third overall; Kenai’s Karl Danielson, fourth and Kenai’s Jordan Theisen in sixth.
