A Kasilof man was arrested on Sunday by Alaska State Troopers after he drunkenly smashed a cab driver’s windshield while the two were having an argument.
State Troopers first received a call about the incident shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Troopers responded to the 911 call which described the disturbance in Kenai. The caller reported a passenger had broken the windshield in a cab during an argument with the driver.
Once on the scene, Troopers’ investigation revealed that 34-year-old Steven Roberts of Kasilof had assaulted the cab driver, broken the windshield in the cab, and tried to take property from the cab driver.
Roberts, who was very intoxicated, was arrested for third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree assault, disorderly conduct, second-degree robbery, and fourth-degree theft.
He was remanded at the Wildwood pretrial center.
