Kasilof Man Found Dead In Apparent ATV Accident

Alaska State Troopers recovered the body of a man who appeared to have died in an ATV accident in Kasilof on Monday night. 55-year-old Max Cragun’s body was found off the roadway at the bottom of an embankment.

 

According to the Department of Public Safety, Troopers received a call reporting the body late Tuesday morning. Responding officers reported that Cragun appeared to have driven off a roadway and down a “steep embankment” near Pollard Loop Road and Reindeer Lane, not too far from the intersection of Kalifornsky Beach Road and the Sterling Highway.

 

Troopers have completed the next of kin notifications.

 

Cragun’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
