A new property is being added to the City of Kenai’s land inventory.
The Kenai City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-06 authorizing the Kenai City Manager to accept a donation of property described as Lot 4, Block 8 of the Original Townsite of Kenai, Kenai, Alaska from the Trust Agreement of Thelma M. Bagoy.
The Land Management Plan identifies parcels within the Townsite Historic Zoning District and recommends retention of these parcels for beach access, dune restoration, parks and recreation, bluff stabilization, and/or wetlands protect.
The offer to donate the property in the Townsite Historic Zoning District was intended for similar use and the resolution passes acceptance of the parcel, without appraisal, in the best interest of the City of Kenai.
