The Kenai City Council unanimously approved Ordinance No. 3342-2023, an ordinance increasing estimated revenues and appropriations in the congregate housing fund for cost in excess of budgeted amounts.

Vintage Pointe Manor was constructed in 1992 and has seen wear and tear from the Alaska weather.

Throughout FY23, there has been an increase in emergency repairs and maintenance for Vintage Pointe with respect to the dry sprinkler system and the tremendous amount of snow. Each of these issues has weighed heavily on the FY23 Budget.

The Kenai City Council increased the estimated revenues and appropriations in the congregate housing fund for costs in excess of budgeted amounts. The amount of $10,000 was requested to ensure funds are available through the remainder of the FY23.

Proper maintenance and repairs are essential to the Facility’s long-term life and the benefit of the residents of Vintage Pointe Manor.
