With the launch of their scheduled flights service in late 2022, Kenai Aviation is looking to expand their footprint in Anchorage. The aviation outfit recently applied for a new room, gate, and ramp at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, according to a public notice provided by the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), and TSAIA.
The notice states that Kenai Aviation Operations LLC is applying for space in the south, as well as Gate A11, and accompanying Ramp A-11, which offers 738 square foot ramp space. Terms of the proposed agreement indicate a lease beginning on September 9th of this year, and running through June 30, 2028.
Kenai Aviation launched their scheduled flights in October of 2022 when they put their newest equipment, a commuter aircraft, Tecnam Traveller P2012. According to KA’s website, the scheduled flights will connect Anchorage to Kenai & Homer, and provide “an essential link to the peninsula, giving residents, workers, and tourists alike the safe and convenient option of skipping the drive and flying in comfort and style.”
Along with details on their upgraded equipment, Kenai Aviation also lays out their plans for expansion in the future.
“Utilizing our brand new flagship commuter aircraft, the Tecnam Traveller P2012, we plan to make Kenai Aviation the go-to airline on the Kenai Peninsula. With plans to add to our fleet and expand our scheduled service area, we are striving to become a staple in the Alaskan aviation community and beyond.”
Kenai Aviation also offers chartered flights, flightseeing services, and flight training.
