The regularly scheduled Kenai Chamber of Commerce luncheon will offer a particularly relaxing lunch this Wednesday, August 5.
Chamber President Johna Beech described it as their “decompression” luncheon following the busiest part of the summer season.
Beech: “We’re coming off the dipnetting season, coming off the big fishing season and so the Kenai Chamber has partnered with the Kenai Orchestra. So we are going to have a classical guitarist while everyone enjoys the catered lunch by Kenai Catering.”
Artistic Director Tammy Vollom-Matturo with the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra will give a short overview of the orchestra and its activities.
Beech: “Their schedules and what they do, that sort of stuff. And then Armin will perform.”
Armin Abdihodžic is an Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
He has been hailed as “one of the most promising Bosnian guitarists of the coming generation” and has spent recent summers in Croatia instructing at a Summer Guitar School.
Those interested can RSVP with the Kenai Chamber at 283-1991. Wednesday’s luncheon will begin at noon at the Kenai Visitors Center.
