The three candidates for Kenai City .Council will appear on tonight’s KSRM Candidate Forum at 5 pm.

All three appeared on KSRM last week to familiarize themselves with local listeners.

Incumbent council member Bob Molloy says he’s running so he can keep working on unfinished business.

Molloy: “We started a review of the purchasing code which hasn’t been reviewed in ten years, that’s a project that I initiated and am working on with Council Member [Henry] Knackstedt and I’m hoping to see that through. Again there’s unfinished business with the comprehensive plan and then there’s the new business of zoning and commercial marijuana business and where that should be safely located in town.”

Mike Boyle previously served on the council for nine years and reflected on why he lost his city council seat last fall.

He says he is looking forward to representing the will of Kenai on things like the comprehensive plan and marijuana regulations as well.

Planning and Zoning Commissioner Jim Glendening…

Glendening says his experience in the oilfield and on various Kenai commissions gives him the interests and experience to represent Kenai’s best interests.

All three candidates will appear in studio to address issues affecting the City of Kenai and weigh in on hot topics.

Tune into KSRM 920 AM from 5:00 – 6:00 pm.
