Kenai City Councilman Charged With DUI

Robert Peterkin, member of the Kenai City Council, was arrested on Saturday, September 12, was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a blood-alcohol content level above the legal limit of .08. He was also charged with Violating Conditions of Release, following a similar charge earlier in the year.

 

The DUI charge is a Class A misdemeanor, while Violating Conditions of Release is a Class B misdemeanor.

 

At approximately 1:52 a.m. on Saturday morning, Kenai Police conducted the traffic stop on Peterkin. He was administered a breathalyzer test, and after been found to be over the limit, was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial Facility.

 

Peterkin was charged for Violating Conditions of Release following a DUI in Homer, for which he was charged in June.
