Kenai Fire Department Hosting Car Seat Check Up Today

Today the Kenai Fire Department is hosting a Car Seat Check-up in coordination with the Safe Kids Kenai Peninsula Coalition.

 

Kenai Fire Department Dispatcher April Weber detailed why it is important check car seat safety periodically.

 

Weber: “There’s just so many things to know, and so many different things that can happen, how a car seat can be installed and so many different car seats, so many different vehicles and so many different ways that a car seat can go in to each vehicle and properly being installed so that the child is safe.”

 

That event is going on between 1 pm and 3 pm at the Kenai Fire Department.

 

The next event will be on December 12 at the Nikiski Fire Station from 1-3 pm and the Kenai Fire Department will host another one on January 21, 2015.
