The final weekend of the regular season for high school hockey features the Soldotna Stars in Juneau with the Railbelt Conference championship and the #1 seed to the Division II Hockey State Championships on the line; and the Kenai Kardinals hosting Tri-Valley (Auroroa Conference) to close-out in divisional action.

The Stars face-off against Juneau in Juneau on Friday and Saturday, January 31st and February 1st with SoHi needing three points to tie, four to surpass the Homer Mariners for the top spot in the Railbelt Conference and possibly the top seed for the Division II state tournament. SoHi can receive two points per win or one point per tie; so, the Stars need a win and a tie (to go to tie-breaker) or two wins to advance into first place.
Kenai vs Tri-Valley @ Kenai Multi-Purpose Arena
The Kardinals hockey team closes the regular season on home ice against the Aurora Conference Tri-Valley on Friday and Saturday. Kenai is locked-into third place in the Railbelt with a 5-4-1 conference record. Tri-Valley stands at 5-4-1 (unofficial) and currently third in the Aurora Conference. The top three in each conference earn automatic berths to the Division II state tournament. Tri-Valley fell to Homer 12-2 on Thursday to close the regular season for the Mariners.
