Kenai Housing Relief Applicants: Do Not Give Out Sensitive Information Via Telephone

Those who applied for housing assistance in the Kenai Peninsula Borough will be receiving calls to discuss their applications as early as tomorrow, October 30.

KPB reached out to KSRM to advise all applicants that while they will be asked questions pertinent to their application for aid, they will not be asked questions about specific numbers such as Social Security Number, bank account number, routing numbers, or similar sensitive matters.

According to KPB, no cases of fraud have yet been an issue, to their knowledge, but with calls being made to applicants, be aware of the fact that any requests for sensitive information are likely a red flag.
