A female was reportedly assaulted by a Kenai resident while parked in an isolated area between Nikiski and Kenai.
Alaska State Troopers report the incident happened on Saturday where 42-year-old Christopher Barth was found allegedly trying to assault an unidentified female. Troopers and Kenai Police Officers responded and discovered that Barth was impaired by controlled substances and operating a vehicle.
A subsequent investigation revealed that Barth allegedly committed two counts of first-degree sexual assault and kidnapping. Later, at the Soldotna Alaska State Troopers post, Barth allegedly punched a sheetrock wall causing damage.
Barth was arrested and remanded to the Wildwood Correctional Complex for two counts of first-degree sex assault, kidnapping, driving under the influence and fifth-degree criminal mischief.
