Kenai & Nikiski Compete In Region III 3A Track Championships

Kenai Peninsula track teams, with the exception of Soldotna High, competed in the Region III 3A Track & Field Championships at Wasilla High School.

 

The Grace Christian girls and Anchorage Christian School boys captured the team titles.  The Kenai girls placed 5th and the Kardinal boys placed 9th.

 

Region III 3A Girls Results

Nikiski’s Bailey Epperheimer and Kenai’s Denali Bernard recorded first-place finishes in the field events.

Bailey Epperheimer won the girls High Jump (4’6″) and placed second in the 300M Hurdles.  Denali Bernard topped the field in the Shot Put (30′).

Nikiski’s girls 4X200M Relay placed first: (Bailey Epperheimer, Sidney Epperheimer, Savannah Stock, Rylee Ellis)

Kenai’s Emilee Wilson placed second in the Triple Jump and third in the 400M and 800M.

Homer’s Laura Inama lead the Mariners with a first place in the Long Jump (16′ 3.75″) and 300M Hurdles.

Region III 3A Boys Results

Kenai senior Maison Dunham won the 400M in 51.93 and finished second in the 800M.

The Kenai boys placed second in both the 4X10M Relay and 4X200M Relay.

ACS’s Tristian Merchant won the boys 800M, 1600M and 3200M with state best times in all three events.
