The deadline is here for residents of the Kenai Peninsula Borough to apply for housing relief if you’ve been financially affected by the pandemic.

The borough has partnered with the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation to help those who have lost jobs pay for their rent or mortgage. The KPB Housing Relief Program will provide up to $1,200 each month to eligible households outside of city limits for the months of September through December 2020. Payment will be issued directly to the lender or landlord.

Applicants must reside in the Kenai Peninsula Borough and outside the city limits of Homer, Kachemak City, Kenai, Seldovia, Seward and Soldotna.

Use the KPB Mapping Tool to verify the location of the home physical address needed for the application. Household income at the time of application must be at or below $71,760 (80% of the median income). Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until housing relief funds have been exhausted. Applications will be processed in the order in which they were received. Recipients will be asked for additional details to certify their loss of income was caused by COVID-19.

The deadline is today, November 30th at 5:00 p.m. to apply.
