This morning’s frosty conditions aren’t forecast to continue.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Jason Ahsenmacher said low pressure systems will arrive on the Kenai Peninsula over the weekend.
He said those conditions are consistent with the Climate Prediction Center’s long-term forecast which predicts Alaska will see overall warmer temperatures through November.
The warmer temperatures through November are an effect of one of the potentially strongest El NIno on record.
