Designed as an means to improve community services across the Kenai Peninsula, the Change4theKenai coalition is coordinating a peninsula-wide survey to assess community needs in a project titled: 100% Alaska.
Abby Struffert, representing Change4theKenai, stated that the public’s input is incredibly important and will determine how improvements will be made in our community, especially as it relates to access to these 10 vital services. This project could also result in specific funding allocations and potential opportunities for new funding.
100% Alaska, the community needs-assessment survey, will serve as the first step in identifying gaps in services on the Kenai Peninsula. After the tabulation of the survey results, Change4theKenai will work toward forming 10 workgroups comprised of individuals from the Kenai Peninsula with interests in the identified areas.
Change4theKenai hopes to engage approximately 2000 residents of the central Kenai Peninsula through the survey. The 100% Alaska survey includes a series of questions to assess the needs of the people living in our community and should take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Participation in the study is voluntary, and all responses to this survey are confidential. Anyone 18 or older can take the survey. Paper copies are also available.
