Kenai Police officers have arrested one man in an ongoing burglary and assault investigation, while three others are still on the lam.
Sergeant Ben Langham said they don’t believe the suspects pose a direct threat to the wider community…
Sgt. Langham: “The victim in this case knew at least two of the assailants personally.”
Police were called just before 3:45am Friday morning to a robbery in progress. Officers believe four men entered the home and assaulted one of the occupants during the invasion.
Troopers and Police later served search warrants on the homes of the suspects and found evidence connected with the robbery.
27-year-old Ronald Smith of Kenai was identified as one of the assailants and arrested for Robbery 1, Burglary 1 and Assault 4.
The investigation is ongoing.
