The Kenai Kardinals rallied from a 4-1 deficit to defeat Palmer 5-4 in Railbelt Conference hockey on Friday at the MTA Center in Palmer.
Kenai 5 – Palmer 4
Jacob Begich scored the first of his four goals in the first period to stake Kenai to a 1-0 advantage over the Palmer Moose. Palmer rattle-off four, straight goals to own a 4-1 lead over Kenai at 7:49 of the second period.
At that point Kenai took over, tying the game at 4-4 in the next three minutes on two goals by Begich and a game-tying goal by Reagan Graves . Begich scored the game-winner with the only goal of the third period. In goal for Kenai, Carson Koppes recorded 31 saves.
Kenai faces-off with Houston on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Big Lake Recreation Center.
