Kenai & SoHi Close Stars & Stripes Hockey

The Stars & Stripes Showdown Hockey Tournament in Palmer produced mixed results for the Kardinals and Stars in the three-day, non-bracketed tournament.

 

SoHi finished 1-1-1 with a tie and a win in the final two rounds; Kenai finished 1-2-0 with a pair of losses following a first round victory.

 

Friday Game Results

The Soldotna Stars battled to a 2-2 tie with Wasilla.  SoHi goals scored by Dawson Lockwood and Aiden Burcham.

The Kenai Kardinals fell to Houston 3-2 with goals by Reagan Graves and an empty-net goal for Landon Cialek.

Saturday Game Results

Kenai dropped a 4-2 decision to West Valley with Logan Mese recording both Kardinal goals.

SoHi outscored North Pole 3-1 in the Stars final game.  Silas Larsen scored a pair of goals and Aiden Burcham added a goal in the victory.

 

The Colony Knights earned the team title with a 3-0 record.  All-tournament team selections were awarded to SoHi’s Jace Applehans and Kenai’s Logan Mese.
