The first Railbelt Conference pairing between the Kenai Kardinals and Soldotna Stars hockey teams hits the ice on Thursday night at the Kenai Multi-Purpose Facility with a 7 p.m. drop of the puck.
The Stars defeated Kenai 5-1 in the final game of the season-opening Peninsula Ice Challenge (non-conference game) in late October. SoHi currently stands at 2-1 in conference play and 5-5-1 on the regular season; Kenai owns a 2-3 conference record and a 4-9 season record.
