Kenai, Soldotna, Kachemak City Offering Housing Relief Grants, Online Applications

While the Kenai Peninsula Borough announced the opening of their Housing Relief Program on Thursday, the municipalities within the borough are also offering their own programs. The aim is to supply relief to those whose ability to pay rent has been, or will be, impacted by the COVID-19 public health emergency.

 

The borough’s program is directed towards those who reside in the Kenai Peninsula Borough, but outside the city limits of Homer, Kachemak City, Kenai, Seldovia, Seward, and Soldotna. Qualified applicants will be eligible to receive up to $1,200 for the months of September, October, November and December of this year. Payments will go directly to the lender or landlord, not to the applicant.

 

Housing assistance applications for similar grants are also being accepted within some of the aforementioned cities. For those in-need of assistance, folks in Kenai, Soldotna, and Kachemak City also have options for assistance. To apply:
