A vehicle accident on the Kenai Spur Highway rerouted traffic onto Beaver Loop Road for a short period of time but the road has been reopened according to the Kenai Police Department.
Kenai Police Sergeant Jay Sjogren said that at approximately 5:00 pm Wednesday officers responded to a motor vehicle accident near mile six.
Investigation revealed that a white Chevy Blazer had been making a left turn off of the Spur Highway when it was rear ended by a red Ford pick up truck.
The impact caused the white Blazer to move into the oncoming lane where it was struck again by an eastbound silver Lexus.
Two were transported from the scene with non-life threatening injuries.
Sergeant Sjogren says the driver of the red Ford pickup was cited.
All three vehicles had to be towed from the site of the accident.
The crash is still under investigation.
