Conference volleyball filled the Kenai Kardinal and SoHi Stars schedule to open October. The Kards at home hosting Southcentral Conference opponents Redington and Houston, Soldotna split on the road at Wasilla in Northern Lights Conference play.
Kenai 3, Redington 0 Friday
Bethany Morris lead Kenai to a three games sweep of the Redington Huskies with 12 kills. Kenai won 25=15, 25-21 and 25-13.
Kenai 3, Houston 0 Saturday
The Kardinals complete the home sweep with a three-game rout of Houston 25-12, 25-18 and 25-12.
SoHi 3, Wasilla 1 Friday
The Stars closed-out the Warriors in Wasilla on Friday with a game four 32-30 battle. SoHi won game won 25-23 and game two 25-18 before dropping game three 17-25. Itu Tuisaula recorded 21 kills and eight aces.
SoHi 2, Wasilla 3 Saturday
A five-game match on Saturday between SoHi and Wasilla went to the Warriors in game five 15-12. Wasilla took game one 31-29 and game two 25-19; the Stars won games three and four 25-20 and 25-21. Itu Tuisaula again lead the Stars at the net with 26 kills.
