Kenai Sweeps Seward In Peninsula Conference Basketball: Stars Fall To Warrior IN NLC Play

Conference basketball filled Friday night’s schedule with the Kenai Kardinals winning a pair from Seward in Peninsula Conference basketball and the Soldotna Stars dropping a pair to Wasilla in Northern Lights Conference basketball.

 

Kenai Girls 39 – Seward 26

The Kenai girls improve to 11-0 with a 39-26 victory over Seward in Peninsula Conference play in Seward.  Emma beck topped all scorers with 24 points.

Kenai Boys 60 – Seward 28

Kenai downed Seward 60-28  on the strength of a 20-point night by Jakob Kvasnikoff.  Kenai again had four scorers in double-figures including Daniel McRorie with 12, Wade James with 11 and Bridger Beck adding 10 points.

 

SoHi Stars @ Wasilla

The Soldotna Stars were overpowered by the Wasilla Warriors in both the girls and boys varsity games in Wasilla.

SoHi Girls 26 – Wasilla 54

Wasilla jumped out to a 20-5 first quarter lead and cruised to a 54-26 Northern Lights Conference victory over the Stars at Wasilla.  Josie Sheridan scored 16 points for the Stars.

SoHi Boys 60 – Wasilla 93

The Warriors controlled play throughout Friday’s NLC victory over the SoHi boys dominating the stars 93-60.  Andrew Pieh scored 10 points to lead the Stars.
