The Region III Track & Field Championships, with both Division I and Division II track meets held concurrently, were contested at Kenai Central High School to determine Region III champions and to determine qualifiers to the upcoming ASAA Division II Track & Field Championships.
Division II Track & Field Team Results
The Kenai Kardinal girls and boys track teams finished as Division II runner-up in both of the team totals after a full, two days of competition.
The Anchorage Christian School girls raced to the team championship totaling 169 points to the Kardinals 101.
The Grace Christian School boys with 171 points outscored the Kardinal boys 111 points for the DII boys team title. The Homer Mariners finished third with 109 points.
Division II Track & Field: Girls Results
The ACS girls amassed 169 team points lead by three individual championships and a second place by sprinter/hurdler Carissa Houck. Houck won the 100M Hurdles, 100M, 200M and 2nd in 300M Hurdles. Houck was named Region III DII Girls Athlete of the Year.
Kenai Kardinal Girls
The Kenai Kardinal girls finished second with a balance of talent, as the Kardinal girls only first-place finish came in the 4X800M Relay with team members: Emilee Wilson, Jayna Boonstra, Emily Moss and Summer Foster.
Top Six Performances for Kenai Central included: Malena Grieme: 4th in 100M and 2nd in the long jump and 5th in triple jump; Jayna Boonstra: 3rd in 1600M and 4th in 3200M; Emily Moss: 6th in 1600M; Sierra Hershberger: 4th in 300M hurdles; Emma Beck: 2nd in shot put; Denali Bernard: 3rd in shot put; Emilee Wilson: 2nd in triple jump and 6th in long jump; Malerie Nunn: 3rd in triple jump; Kenai Relays: 1st in 4X800M relay, 3rd in 4X100M relay; 4th in 4X400M relay
Homer Mariner Girls
Izzy Fisk win the girls shot put and Auden Cress finished third in the discus. Brightly Thoning finished third in the high jump and Leah Evans placed third in the long jump.
Nikiski Bulldog Girls
Rylee Ellis won the girls 800M run to lead the Bulldogs. Savanna Stock placed 2nd in the 400M and 4th in 200M; Nikiski 2nd in 4X200M relay; Zoey Ellis: 6th in triple jump.
Seward Seahawk Girls
Seward distance runner Hailey Ingalls recorded victories in both the 1600M and 3200M races. Robin Cronin won the girls triple jump event and Shelby Sieminski placed 3rd in the 800M.

Division II Track & Field: Boy Results
The Grace Christian School boys, on the strength of its distance running program totaled 171 points to win the boys team title for Division II. The Kenai boys tallied 111 points and Homer, 109 points.
Kenai Kardinal Boys
Sprinter Jacob Begich lead the Kardinals on the track with victories in both the 100M and 200M and as a member of the first-place 4X100M relay team for Kenai.

Homer Mariners Boys
The Mariners were lead by victories in the 1600M and 3200M races and a 2nd in 800M by Seamus McDonough. Aiden Brost placed second in both the 110M and 300M hurdles; Ryan Carroll, 3rd in 300M hurdles and 3rd in the high jump.
Nikiski Bulldog Boys
Braeden Porter placed 4th in shot put and Ethan Elis placed 4th in the high jump. Dwight Mullins placed 5th in the triple jump and Walter Haybeck, 5th in the 100M.
Seward Seahawk Boys
Tommy Cronin jumped to two championships, one in the long jump and one in the triple jump and placed second in the high jump.
