Kenai Volleyball Remains Unbeaten In SCC: Peninsula Teams Sweep Home Weekend

Teams from the North traveled to the Kenai for Southcentral Conference volleyball pairings and again the Kenai Kardinals proved unmatched as the Karidnals improved to 8-0 in conference volleyball action.

 

Kenai Volleyball

The Kardinals defeated Grace Christian on Friday night at KCHS 3-0 downing the Grizzlies 25-9, 25-10 and 25-8.  Emma Beck leading the Kards with five kills and Kimberly Chanley recorded 22 digs.

Kenai swept Anchorage Christian School on Saturday 25-7, 25-5 and 25-16.  Beck had 16 kills and 10 digs; Jorgi Phillips had 23 assists and seven aces.

 

Nikiski Volleyball

The Bulldogs opened the weekend with a Friday win over Houston 3-1 with games scores: 25-13, 24-26, 25-14 and 25-22.  Ashlynne Playle had nine kills and five blocks for the Bulldogs.  Nikiski improves to 2-4 in the Southcentral Conference.

Nikiski swept Redington on Saturday 3-0.  The Bulldogs won 25-9, 25-20 and 25-21 with Playle recording 8 kills and Avery White adding 4 kills.
