The Kenai City Council will hold a work session next week to review the 2014 dip net season.
Kenai City Manager Rick Koch said they may take a look at handling the finances differently in order to get a clearer picture of revenues and expenditures for the city but for the most part it will be normal season review.
Koch: “We’ll talk about what worked, what didn’t work, what things we can do to maybe modify how we manage the fishery on our end so that it works smoother, we’ll be spending a little bit of time talking about the no wake zone that we instituted this year and how that worked and how we can make that work better.”
He said he received many calls testifying that this year was the best experience at the dock facility that people had had in years.
Koch said the city council will allow public comments but it is undetermined as to how much.
That dip net work session will be held on Thursday, November 20, at 6 pm in the Kenai City Hall.
