Construction in Soldotna is progressing smoothly; they City’s Maintenance Manager Scott Sundberg said Knight Drive was closed for just two days and a half days last week…
Sundberg: “We were just fixing the two approaches to both the north end of Fireweed and the north end of Lupine. People were cutting the corner and the asphalt was breaking off, so we just increased the radius a little bit and improved the drainage, that way the water will run toward the beehive and should make that corner last a little bit longer.”
Two residential roads were rerouted during the work, which was completed on schedule at 3pm Friday. Now, Sundberg’s crews will tackle their next project…
Sundberg: “We’re going to finish the campground roads in Swiftwater, start building some sites and extension of camping loop.”
